Dietetics Undergraduate Profile

 

Dietitian should be able to:

  • select nutrition planning including relevant lifestyle adjustments;
  • select nutrition planning and food preparation including the best strategy in terms of feasibility, effectiveness and individual, group, organisation and/or population benefit.
  • perform nutrition assessment of individual patients/clients, and diagnosis of malnutrition;
  • develope nutritional diseases prevention;
  • assess pharmacotherapy and nutrition mutual interactions;
  • perform quality of products and storage safety control, and food preparation with accordance to Hazard Analyzes Critical Control Points – HACCP;
  • assess the effects of disease on the nutrition status and impact of nutrition on the results of treatment;
  • develope and implement feeding plans that are consistent with individual nutrition and dietetic goals within the scope of the hospital food service and/or home or community setting, nutrition education and counselling.

 

Electroradiology Undergraduate Profile

 

 Radiologic technician should be able to:

  • prepare patients and equipment for the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures;
  • operate sophisticated equipment for the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the scope of radiology, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, electromedical diagnostics;
  • perform the duty of radiological protection inspector.

 

Nursing Undergradutate Profile

 

Nurse should be able to:       

  • use knowledge from nursing, health and other disciplines to provide safety and high quality of nursing care;apply contemporary knowledge from different sources and the best available evidence to base professional decision making and practice;
  • deliver care consistent with professional standards, policies, protocols and procedures;
  • recognize opportunities and provides guidance/education to individuals, families and communities to encourage adoption of illness prevention activities  and maintenance of healthy lifestyles;
  • provide individual nursing care and cope with changes in health, disability and death;
  • cooperate with nurses, other professionals and community groups in activities to reduce illness and promote healthy life styles and environments.

Nurse should be able to:     

  • use knowledge from nursing, health and other disciplines combined with best available evidence to explain nursing decisions and interventions;

  • select teaching/learning strategies appropriate to the needs and characteristics of the individual or group;

Public Health Undergradutate Profile

 

Public Health Worker should be able to:  

 

  • identify the fundamental issues of public health, health systems, as well as Polish and European Union countries health policies;
  • identify the biological and environmental determinants of human health , community, and the mutual relations between them;
  • identify the biological , environmental, demographic, social and psychological  health hazard;
  • carry out regional statutory audits and assessments of the state sanitary- epidemiological regarding the society and  environment;
  • communicate the results of assessments of  the state sanitary- epidemiological  to the state sanitary- epidemiological units ; collect data on the health situation of the population;
  • implement prophylaxis and health promotion programs, as well as nursing care and psychosocial rehabilitation;
  • implement and coordinate health education and promotion programs;

  • collect data on the economics and management of health care in the local community

 

Public Health Gradutate Profile

 

Public Health Specialist should be able to:  

  • identify  and forecast hazards and health problems in the specific population;
  • recognize the impact of social processes and demographic structures on communities’  health;
  • plan, develop, organize, and evaluate the effectiveness and evaluation of prevention programs and health promotion for different social groups;
  • forecast and shape the structure and requirements for the health care needs, and  health  care services;
  • manage the human resources, co-ordinate the institutions;
  • motivate the community to implement the health policy at local and national levels;
  • manage in the healthcare, based on the rule of law and modern management techniques, including health care institutions involved in  public health;
  • organize and securing the functioning of medical services, including public and private health insurance and social insurance regarding ​​treatment , rehabilitation , long term care and social care;
  • manage the Integrated Rescue System of Medical units and emergency information system;
  • monitor and evaluate the state of sanitary- epidemiological at the national and regional level, as well as implementing ;
  • collect data and analyze the economic costs of medical services, rehabilitation , prevention and health promotion ;
  • use knowledge on the objectives and tasks of public health in the European Union to enrich the programs of protection and health promotion at the local level;
  • develop expertise , reports, papers and publications in the field of public health.
